I’m Evelyn, a native San Franciscan born on a stormy February day — perhaps the first sign that I was always meant to be drawn to the water and all the treasures of the sea. A mermaid at heart was born that day.
In 2019, my husband Jack and I, along with our fur babies, moved to Half Moon Bay. While living over the hill in San Mateo, we often visited the coast, but I always felt a deeper pull to live closer to the ocean. When we finally made the move, life in this charming seaside town began to unfold in the most beautiful way. My love for the sea grew stronger, and my connection to the shoreline deepened with each passing season.
What began as a simple collection of shells and sea glass gathered during beach walks slowly evolved into art. Along the way, my passion for photography blossomed, with the coastline becoming my constant inspiration and natural muse. From these tides of inspiration, Coastal Charm Treasures was born.
I invite you to enjoy this space and all it will become as I share the ocean through heart-made creations, one tide at a time.
Creating with Respect for the Coast:
The ocean is the heart of my inspiration, and I believe in treating it with respect. Shells used in my artwork are collected responsibly from beaches where collection is permitted and never from living habitats. Local guidelines are researched and followed to help protect the coastal environments I love. When additional shells are sourced, I work with vendors who share a commitment to sustainable and ethical practices.
